6th overall and 2nd in AG 30–39 at the 2K Sprint race at @oceanman_italy 🥈🏊🏽‍♂️
And with it, a slot for the World Championship 🌍

Feeling the race atmosphere before the gun went off was one of the things I missed most.
So happy to be back on a starting line after 6 months.

Not a triathlon start line yet, but the progress is continuing in the right direction 📈

Today was just the warm-up before tomorrow’s 5K #HalfOceanman 💥

💥💥 #InjuryUpdate

2 weeks ago I was finally allowed to run outside again. The plan was #Dubai for soft surfaces – but instead I ended up spending a week in #Valencia.

Perfect conditions to get back into training:
easy runs through #TuriaPark, lots of time on the bike and back in the water again.

Finally all three disciplines together 🏊‍♂️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️

No pressure, just building step by step.
Grateful to move pain-free again 🙏

The process continues. 📈

First ride back outside – and I couldn’t be happier. 🌿🚴‍♂️

After the past weeks, being back out in nature, feeling the wind and simply turning the legs over again means a lot to me. Since one week I’m finally allowed to return to structured swim training, which feels like a big step forward.🏊🏽‍♂️

On the bike, it’s strictly easy riding for now – keeping the intensity low and gradually increasing the duration. Patience is key🚴🏽‍♂️

Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to run a single meter this year yet. But there’s good news: starting next week I’ll begin running in rehab on the AlterG treadmill. Small steps, steady progress. 🏃🏽‍♂️

Grateful for every session and excited for what’s ahead. The comeback continues. 💪

Probably the hardest period of my sporting life since I was a kid.

No running since three weeks into @ironmanwesternaustralia , followed by the diagnosis: a broken sacrum and bone edema.

More or less no sport at all. The body needs time to recover.
I’ve never felt so down and unmotivated—without a real goal right now, other than waiting for the next MRI next week to see the status quo.

Thank you to the people around me: friends, physios, doctors, sponsors, and my coach @richard_laidlow , who are supporting me and going through this emotional and painful time with me. 🙏🏼

But one thing is certain—because that’s my nature: I WILL COME BACK 💪🏼

While writing this, I’m working with my coach on a plan to slowly rebuild intrinsic motivation and find my way back.
