If someone had told me I’d be standing on a podium alongside @flo.swim — Olympic champion and one of the greatest open water swimmers in the world — and not even in my own sport, I would never have believed it. 😜 😅 The 4.5 km @alpenopenwatercup was definitely more of a fun swim and completely outside my training, but what an incredibly nice event and such a beautiful swim on a beautiful venue. 🤩 Open water swimming is still a bit outside my comfort zone. There are obviously plenty of swimmers who specialize in it, so it’s always nice to mix things up, step outside your comfort zone and challenge yourself a little when you get the opportunity. Even more special to meet and chat with such incredible athletes throughout the weekend — and thanks @svrouwendaal for the tips the day before the race! 😉 Thanks @arenainternational for an amazing weekend and for the opportunity to be part of it. @leoniebeckswim @svrouwendaal @florianwellbrock And yes, @svrouwendaal, I’ve already started slowing down my arms as much as I possibly can. 😂

ENNI Triathlon Moers 🏁 Yesterday felt like one of those days you don’t forget easily. 🤩 I crossed the finish line first, but the win went to @schubert_fabian , who was faster overall after starting in a later wave just 30 minutes after me. Huge congratulations to @schubert_fabian on the win and @justus_weh on 3rd place – completing the podium. 👏 Out of the water first with around a one-minute lead, and still leading onto the run after a strong bike split – second fastest of the day, despite changing wind conditions later on. In that moment it was pure emotion – relief, satisfaction, and just gratitude for being back out there racing again. Of course, you always want to win. But sometimes the story of the day is bigger than the result sheet. After everything I’ve been through, being able to race like this again means a lot. Finding rhythm, pushing through, and truly enjoying the fight out there. 🚴🏽‍♂️✨ New bike. New chapter. Back to racing. Some journeys are about results. Others are about simply getting back to the start line. After my sacrum fracture last year in Australia, I spent more than two months confined to bed. At times, even the thought of racing again felt incredibly far away. Six months later, I can finally say: tomorrow I’m back on a triathlon start line at the @enni_triathlon .🙌🏽 At the same time, I’m incredibly excited to announce my partnership with @scottsportsdach and @lucky_bike.
